I've been working as a child care provider since 1997. Before becoming a child care provider, I was a teachers assistant for many years. When I moved to U.S. I started taking English courses and Early Childhood classes so that I could work with children. I took all the necessary classes to become a child care provider because I wanted to have full knowledge about being a provider. Even now I continue to learn and improve myself as a provider, and I recently became NAFCC accredited. I absolutely love children. I am patient and nurturing and I provide a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment for children to grow and thrive in. I am a strong believer in education, at my daycare we do not watch TV. We sing, dance, use musical instruments, and learn thinking skills and motor skills. Everyday we work on reading and writing and my program is highly focused on learning, however, I also like to give the children the opportunity to make their own choices with our activities. I don't tell my kids what to do, I let them decide, i give them choices and support their choices for learning. Children take turns acting as my helper, and this gives them leadership skills and helps teach them about responsibilities. I serve breakfast and lunch and snacks twice a day.
I always keep the parents informed, and tell them what we are working on so parents can do same thing at home. Parents like this because it keeps them engaged and its very helpful for the child to learn the same things at home as they do at my daycare!

Our infant daughter was with Maria Luz from the age of 3 months to 10 months. We could not have dreamed of a better care provider for our daughter. Maria Luz is so passionate about her children, so caring, so energetic and so devoted to making her practice the best it can be. Don’t be discouraged by the relatively small space; Maria Luz uses it to her advantage as she keeps it spotless and is able to know exactly what everyone is up to at all times. Her assistant, Orhenia, is also a terrific care provider, who shows love and devotion to all the children. If not for our move, we would have stayed with Maria Luz as long as possible.

Truly, there is not enough space to convey how pleasant and wonderful this daycare is. I have two wonderful boys that attend the daycare for over 2 years and I cannot be happier. The level of education that is taught at the daycare, exceeds even what is taught in the preschool environment. She truly takes special care of each of every child as if they are her own. In addition, the kids are fed all organic meals in a very, very clean and safe environment. She constantly enforces good hygiene and a safe/friendly interaction amongst the children. There are so many things I can convey, but my words alone cannot express all my gratitude. As a parent, you will be happy and at ease to know that your child is being cared for by an intelligent and wonderful daycare provider.

My daughter attended this family Child Care from the time she was an infant up until it was time for her to attend grade school. Words cannot describe how GRATEFUL and BLESSED we feel to have met and have been able to have Maria-Luz care for our child. I couldn't image or have asked for a better child care provider. She did an OUTSTANDING and phenomenal job with Gabby and preparing her for school. She EXCEEDED our expectations and was everything and MORE than what we expected in daycare. I highly recommend this family daycare without a doubt and I will continue to spread the word of her goodness and greatness!!! We will FOREVER be grateful for the service love and greatness that she instilled and our child.

Overall, being able to help this provider has been a great pleasure! She works very hard to sustain her childcare and makes sure it's constantly in the best condition. The food is always made with a good heart and loving hand. She is utmost concerned with having quality education for all the children in her childcare. Every child is treated equally and diversity is greatly present within the childcare.

I was looking for a Childcare provider that follows Christian principles, I found Ms. Bolo. I pretty much got the whole packet with Ms. Maria-Luz, she's bilingual, cultured, caring, educated and most important a woman of God. I am grateful for this blessing, soon she will have one more child (currently pregnant).

I was shopping around for a decent childcare provider!! God blessed me because not only does she speak english but she also speaks spanish, he gave me someone who will still carry on traditions in our hispanic cultures.

I <3 Miss M!! When I first toured her home, I was impressed with her energy, her commitment to a structured educational curriculum, and mostly, how well-behaved all the children were. (When you enter the home, you'll notice the living room is decorated with all these glass and fragile things. Amazingly the kids and babies are so well-behaved they know not to destroy things.) I had a sensitive, shy daughter with some developmental delays and I knew she wouldn't be able to handle the rough-housing I saw at other places. She was attentive and engaged unlike several other home daycares. I did not need to pay someone to neglect my child (always always always tour your childcare facility before enrolling your child).
After attending the daycare, my daughter almost immediately opened up to the provider, became more comfortable and outgoing, and ACTUALLY pretty well-behaved herself. As a single working mom litigation attorney, I had no patience or time for my poor child. My daughter developed wonderfully, and best of all, learned a LOT in one short year. She went from being a bit behind developmentally to being on her way to reading at age 3. I am also eternally grateful to her for being so understanding when work or traffic made me late. Once rain flooded and closed all the streets and it took 2 hours to drive what normally would take 30 mins. When I arrived, my child had already eaten dinner, happy, and wanting to stay the night. I adore Miss M. and wish I could win the lottery to bring her and her entire family to California so she could continue to make my child into an amazing intelligent woman. Now at age 4, my daughter can read, and I give all the credit to the foundation Miss M. built (because I certainly did nothing for my child). Hugs and kisses! You deserve the best! <3
