Zee Daycare, Aldie

Welcome to Zee Daycare, my home daycare in Aldie, VA. I provide daily care in my home during the workweek and, upon request, on weekends. My schedule is very flexible so I can provide full and part-time care. Besides caring for infants and toddlers, I provide after-school care for school-aged children. I am certified in CPR and first aid. I am a US citizen fluent in English, Farsi, Pashto, and Urdu. Some of the parents who have left their children in my care have asked that I speak a language other than English to provide immersion language learning for the kids. I provide breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack, and upon request can provide dinner for your child. The meals and snacks I serve follow the USDA food program guidelines to ensure proper nutrition for the kids. I have a dedicated playroom for the children in my impeccably clean home. During the day, kids experience free play, reading, drawing, dancing, gardening, and other enriching activities. I do permit, for children whose parents allow them to watch TV, very limited viewing of educational programs only. Most younger children take at least one nap during the day. Our daily schedule is fluid and dynamic, following the day-to-day needs and wants of the children rather than conforming to a rigid and unchangeable schedule. We do lots of "make-believe" and "let's pretend" during the day. Dramatic play helps children learn to think, to express their ideas, and to become successful learners. As the children play, I watch what they do and say. Sometimes I join in and become part of their play. Because make-believe play is so important, I encourage even the youngest babies to play games such as peek-a-boo or pat-e-cake. I can send pictures of your child's activity on a weekly basis so that you can see what your child is doing. Please call me to set up an interview and a walk-through of my daycare.
