Educational Program
The educational program for preschoolers includes the elements of Montessori approach to child-rearing and education. Your child will be engaged in a wide variety of activities, learning languages, pre-Math, Arts/Crafts, Music/Rhythmics, Origami, Macrame while having ample opportunity to play. We organize social gatherings for families and international cuisine cooking classes for kids from age 2 on weekends.
About Masha
Masha Kruskal is the Owner and Director of the Early Childhood Development Center Masha’s Place of MD in Bethesda, MD. She is a graduate of the Moscow State Pedagogical University and a holder of MA in Education, English and French. She has had extensive training in Early Childhood Education and is a registered childcare provider with the US Department of Education. Masha is a holder of MS in Public Communications from the American University and an Associate in Interior Design from Montgomery College. She has had a successful career in marketing and communications and multiple engagements with residential and commercial designs.
For over 15 years Masha has been teaching ESOL and Russian as a foreign language to kids and adults alike. Phonetics is her specialty in language training, which reinforces correct articulation and language recognition in her students from the early days of language learning.
Ms. Kruskal has been teaching ESOL at Montgomery College and Russian at Shalom, an education center with the JCC of Rockville.
Masha believes in the utmost importance of early childhood development through active engagement with music, rhythmic and foreign language learning. Montessori philosophy and its approach to early childhood education serve as the foundation for Masha’s Place integrated learning developmental program.
Masha has lived in Maryland for over 19 years and has been raising two bilingual (English and Russian) sons – 14 year old Tim and 3 year old Jacob.
