Greater Pikesville Discovery Center is a center in Pikesville, MD. We are open during the academic year and closed in July. We are open from 8:30am until 4:00pm and care for children as young as 3 years through 5 years old, including children with special needs. We offer full time care. Discovery Center is awesome and Ms. Burman and Ms. Stephanie are the best! That's what my two girls say, and I have to agree with them.
Ms. Burman and Ms. Stephanie engages the kids, makes learning fun, and prepares them for the "big kids school"...Ft. Garrison Elementary.

I have been very happy with the Discovery Center at Fort Garrison. After watching my older child struggle with kindergarten, I'm glad this program was recommended to me. The curriculum is rigorous and very similar to kindergarten. My daughter has been thriving and has learned a lot in just a few months. I'm positive she will be prepared. The Discovery program at Fort Garrison has been a wonderful experience for my son. Ms. Burman and Ms. Stephanie create a structured and nurturing environment for the children. My son looks forward to going to school every day and is learning important foundation skills to prepare him for kindergarten. As a Kindergarten teacher, I am very pleased and impressed with the program. I would highly recommend the Discovery program at Fort Garrison!

My daughter recently attended Discovery and we are very thankful to the teachers for making her year a fun, positive experience. My daughter loved going to school. Not only did the program encourage her to learn and grow, but allowed her to build friendships and acclimate to an elementary school environment. I highly recommend the Discovery program.

I have had two children go through the program in past 5 years and I would highly recommend it to anyone! As a matter of fact, I've recommended it to 4 other families in the past couple of years, all of whom elected to send their children, and have been very pleased with the outcome.

I couldn't say enough good things about the Discovery Center as a Pre-K program. My son couldn't wait to go to school each day. It was the perfect balance between learning a modified kindergarten curriculum and still having pre-school style play time. Greater Pikesville Discovery Center is a great transition between day care and elementary school.
Kids are learning to adjust to a new routine as well as still having the comfort of the day care.
They are being taught how to be more independent which will make their transition to a school more comfortable and easier.

I cannot say enough about the Fort Garrison Discovery Center from the love and dedication Ms. Burman and Ms. Stephanie show the children to the rigorous yet fun curriculum.
