MilesScott Academy is a small in home daycare, run in a large single family home. The daycare is completely separate from the household living area, and includes a private sleeping room. Children in our care enjoy a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, music and sign language, cooking and baking, playing outside, and lots of free time to explore their world. We have one large playroom to romp around in, with three focused areas. One is a large motor skill room where children can play in the ball pit, ride push toys, play basketball, or just dance and be silly. Our main carpet is used for free play, and imagination and In the other area we have our crafts, circle time, and preschool lessons.
The childcare is run by two adults. Someone is always available to stay with sleeping babies so the older children can play outside.
On Monday Wednesdays and Fridays we run preschool prep program with a weekly theme, letter, and number.
We take a very hands on approach to teaching basic preschool prep. The children learn their colors, numbers, and letters through play and games. For example: “Tell me how many cars you see, what color is this one?”

My almost-2-year-old daughter has been going to Cait's daycare for almost a year now, and I sent my older daughter there a few years ago. It really is run like a preschool, with a focus on learning, outdoor play, themes, colors, counting, sensory activities, and new experiences, but in a comfortable home environment with loving caregivers. Ana and Wendy are outstanding. My daughter absolutely loves it there. Worth every penny!

Our son has been at Cummings Family Childcare for the last 8 months. I am so grateful to have found people I feel so comfortable leaving my son with everyday. OJ has been with Cait since she was 8 weeks old, she is almost 2. We love Cait, Ana, and Wendy. OJ asks for each of them every morning along with asking for the other kids.
