About Us
Hi parents, and welcome to Cedar Hill Children's Daycare in Silver Spring! I am a mother of 3 with 5 years of child care experience, and I’m the owner of this family child care program. I’m a former nurse and I hold an Associates’ Degree in Education. I am also first-aid and CPR certified. I run our home daycare with my daughter, who has 4 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Public Health Science!
About Our Daycare
At Cedar Hill Children's Daycare, we provide full-time child care as well as part-time daycare, and we’re open from 7:30am until 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Our daycare offers child care for infants (starting at 2 months old), as well as toddlers and preschoolers through 5 years old. We also provide before and after school care for school-aged children up to 10 years old (the closest school is Fairland Elementary School and there is a school bus nearby). We provide snacks to the children in our care, and parents bring lunch from home.

Cedar Hill Children's Home Daycare is located off Cedar Hill Drive and Old Columbia Pike, in the Fairland / White Oak area of Silver Spring, MD. We’re across from the Westech Village Corner, near the intersection of route 29 (Columbia Pike) and route 200 (the Intercounty Connector Toll Road). Our son started going here when he was an infant and we've been very happy with his care in time he's been here. More importantly, he is always happy to arrive and start his day with them -- no clinging on to us or crying, which lets us know he is comfortable and content. Their actions during COVID have reassured us that health and safety is their top priority.

This provider is exceptional. Our 4 months twins easily got adapted. No crying at drop off. The kids just felt like home. They learned their first steps and words with her. She took care of them as her own children. I definitely recommend her.

Our daughter seems to be thriving at this Family Child Care.
She is especially clingy right now at 9 months. Yet, whenever I pick her up she is smiling and engaged in some sort of play with one of the teachers. She is excited to see me but not necessarily anxious to leave.

This daycare is more than just a daycare to me, they are family. My daughter has been enrolled since she was 8 months old. She has such a great time there, she learns new things everyday and comes home with new vocabulary all the time. Me being a first time mom I'm very particular with who I leave my child with but this daycare and the staff give me no worries, I know when she's there she's well taken care of and safe.
