Hello! My name is Kim and I am Academy Director of this incredible La Petite Academy educational daycare in Stafford, VA. I have a child development credential and more than 14 years of experience as a teacher and manager. Whether it's providing loving care for infants or participating in activities in our preschool programs, I love being part of helping children learn and develop as they grow. I truly enjoy watching the children's excitement as they learn new things. I strive to provide a warm and friendly environment for the children, their families and teachers. We maintain an open-door policy for anyone who would like to talk. Our academy opened in 1988 and is nationally accredited by NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation). We received the award in February 2011, and continue to meet the needs of accreditation standards. The standards that we follow are higher than the State of Virginia's Child Daycare Licensing Standards. We provide the highest standards of excellence in care and education, and are deeply rooted in the community. We have a longstanding reputation of family and community involvement. Our teachers here in Stafford are dedicated professionals who care deeply about the care and education of the children. The staff has experience ranging from one to 20 years! Our staff receives monthly training and far exceeds the yearly required training requirements from the state. Everyone on the staff is trained in CPR and first aid. We value the relationships we have with our families and work hard to involve them.
