I highly recommend Maias Family Child Care. My son attended this daycare for little over a year. He always welcomed Ms. Zulma with a smile and left in good spirits. He truly enjoyed this daycare. They have fun daily activities involving subjects like science, geography, and math. Ms. Zulma strives to serve each child’s development by providing age-appropriate activities for all her children. Every month Ms. Zulma hands out a monthly newsletter highlighting the books they read and activities they learned for that particular month. This always warms my heart to see my son and all his classmates learning and growing together. Maias Family Child Care has a huge backyard with a playground which is nice especially during the warmer months! The kids are always going outside and doing fun water activities so you don’t have to worry about the kids staying indoors all day. This daycare provides a caring and loving, learning environment and I would encourage anyone who is searching for a daycare in the area to schedule a tour. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! :)

We have seen first-hand the care, support and learning community she builds with the children in her home. We feel like she has a desire to see the children learn and grow. Our children have always been in a safe environment and she keeps us updated on their daily activities and behaviors. She is in touch with the children and their needs. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to see their child flourish in a loving and safe environment.
Response from the provider:

My son has been attending Zulma's daycare for over a year now. Our daughter attended her care, before she started school 3 years ago. We trust Zulma. She is great with communication and works closely with the children. She is very caring and my son enjoys going to her home every day.
Response from the provider:
Than you Ms. Jessica:)

i originally gave her 5 hearts in all 5 categories, I am now updating this on August 4th and warn any parent to be very cautious about letting their child attend here. I picked my son up today 8/4/16 he previously attended in 2012 and now again in 2016. When I got him I asked how today went and Zulma responded good. I took my son and we got in the car and left. He then told me a kid at daycare cut/ripped his shirt. (Yes there was a large hole in the front that wasn't there when he was dropped off.) Further he told me that he was severely bullied today, he has been saying it for about a week now so given these two thing being said I contacted the provider via text message. She quickly responded it was not true and he is "not nice to himself." I told her I would get to the bottom of it and be in touch with what I figured out. Less than 30 minutes later I had a missed call from her. I called her back immediately. She began in my opinion lying over he phone placing all the blame on him, questioning my sons credibility stating he wouldn't lie unless I taught him to and to me seeming she was giving events up. She then proceed to let me know tomorrow would be our last day with no prior issues or complaints of bad days or events since re enrolling. I feel she is doing this to protect herself because clearly something did occur I just don't test know exactly what. My child has scrapes on him, a ripped shirt and a depressed demeanor, All of which I have photos and videos of. I still cannot get a straight story out of my child but plan to during his uncoming play therapy this weekend. Be very cautious about paying to have your children watched here or they may too come home injured and when you ask about it just get a notice of termination of services. note: she also doesn't have parents sign their children in at drop of and pick ups nor is she insured so she has no liability for issues such as this which could constitute as abuse.
