Our daughter has been at the Nesting House since last August. Due to the pandemic, we were keeping her at home with us, however she needed the interaction with other children. Since we began sending her to Ms. Maribel we have never looked back. In regard to COVID, we have never had any concerns. Ms. Maribel has fostered a safe and age-appropriate environment. Regarding the curriculum, our daughter has learned so many things since enrolled at The Nesting House. She is already writing her name and has developed other skill sets beyond her age in a play-based environment. We have had experience with both corporate and locally owned daycares in Northern VA and Maryland and the service provided at The Nesting house exceeds all our expectations.

The fact kids can run around in the yard and explore is a big plus, also my little one could run around is good. the owner is somewhat flexible but it is up to her mood.
my biggest concern was the owner being emotional and making it hard to make and suggestions or comments- she would take it extremely personal no matter how you put it.
My little one fell down and had a big scratch across his face and I didn’t get a call- the owner said she is not familiar with black skin and didn’t realize it would look so bad!- and the fact that owner/teacher at the time of the drop offs specifically is emotional about personal issues makes it hard- that was a constant on my drop offs with her specially toward the end.
the hours are supposed to be 7-6 as stated here but she doesn’t want the kids after 5 pm and there have been instances that I had to ask a neighbor to get my kid in for 30 mins till I arrive to the center.
these were my experience with this center and my opinion but feel free to try it. it may work for you.

Safe, caring, nurturing program with extraordinarily comprehensive educational experience. Ms. Patzi brings a wealth of educational experience and her love for children shines through all her interactions. A wonderful educator to partner with as a parent! Highly recommend the program offered!!

This is the best care experience I had for my little one. Maribel is very caring and attentive to the kids' needs, entertaining and fun, but at the same time the kids respect, listen, and love her a lot. He learned a lot this summer in a fun and engaging way, as Maribel works with every kid individually to help them grow and provide support to improve where each kid needs.
I also appreciated a lot the continuous feedback we received: I knew every day what my little one did, if there were any issues, and what activities he participated in. She sends a lot of pictures and videos.
There are not enough words to praise her! She really is the BEST!!
