Welcome to Stratford Place Kids Playhouse, our licensed in-home daycare and preschool program in Fredericksburg, VA. our child care facility is located in the family-friendly Stratford Place subdivision, near Brooke Rd, Deacon Rd, and with easy access to White Oak Rd and Butler Rd (VA-218). We’re also less than 5 minutes from Grafton Village Elementary School, making our child care program a convenient option for families in Stafford County.
Our child care program is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 2 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We also offer drop-in care for families who need occasional child care in Fredericksburg, VA.
Stratford Place Kids Playhouse is proud to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which allows us to provide home-cooked meals and snacks to all children in our care at no extra cost. We also strive to offer an inclusive, caring, and supportive environment for all children, including children with special needs.
We thoughtfully review each child’s individual needs to make sure we can provide the appropriate level of care, attention, and support within our program. Hello parents! For over 10 years, I worked as a teacher’s assistant with Fairfax County Public Schools in Springfield, Virginia, where I developed a true passion for supporting and caring for children as they discovered the world around them. When my family relocated to Fredericksburg, I decided to open my own child care program in a more family-oriented, home-like setting.
I am now the proud owner and main caregiver of Stratford Place Kids Playhouse. For the past 3 years, I’ve provided families with a place where children receive individualized attention, encouragement, and care in a setting that feels like an extension of family. I am CPR and First Aid certified, which helps give parents peace of mind knowing their little ones are in capable and experienced hands. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
I genuinely enjoy watching children grow, reach new milestones, and discover their unique abilities. I also treasure the strong partnerships I’ve built with families, because working together plays an important role in each child’s success and development. My goal has always remained the same: to provide the same warmth, trust, and quality of care that I would want for my own children.

This also allows us to build strong, meaningful relationships with every child in our care.

Our program provides a full day of care and learning from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Each day is thoughtfully designed to give children a fun, engaging, and supportive routine. Mornings begin with circle time, where children greet one another, build friendships, and talk about the day’s activities.
Throughout the day, children participate in music and dance to encourage creativity and movement, as well as arts and crafts projects that inspire imagination while exploring colors and textures. We also help children practice good manners, kindness, and respectful communication with others. In addition to creative play, we help children build a strong foundation for preschool through early reading, writing, and math activities.
When the weather allows, outdoor playtime is included in our day so children can stay active, build coordination, and enjoy fresh air in a safe setting. In the afternoon, quiet time and nap time are built into the schedule to help children rest and recharge. Our goal is to create a balanced daily routine that supports academic growth, creativity, independence, and positive social development for every child in our care.
