Elede Childcare, Lorton

We have had our daughter at Elede's daycare since January of 2022. As a first time mother, I was particular about who I wanted to leave my infant daughter with at just 10-weeks-old, and I immediately saw the connection between Maddie and Elede when we went to visit. Elede was the only daycare provider out of the many we visited who interacted with Maddie and asked questions about her personality and our experience with her. Since then, we have loved having Maddie with Elede. Maddie sleeps for her, eats well for her, and I can tell she enjoys her time in daycare by the way she lights up every morning to see Elede at the door. Our daughter is now 14-months old, and Elede is equally invested in Maddie's milestones and accomplishments. She maintains a familiarity with each of her charge's unique needs and strengths, and the love and nurture are evident in her daycare. It is a space filled with music and play, and we are grateful to have found Elede, learned from her, and allowed our child to have her as another supportive, loving adult in her life. To me, successful daycare is grounded in the trust and established relationship between the provider and family, and we find that consistently with Elede.

My son started with Elede when he was 10 months old and he loved every second until he transitioned to preschool! He still asks to go see her now that my daughter is there. Elede truly treats the children in her care like they are her own. We are so lucky we found her and lucky to say she feels like family!

Every time I drop of my daughter, I feel like I am leaving her at my mothers house. When I was exploring different daycares and homecares this was my final stop before making a decision. The moment we walked in, my daughter was running and playing like we were at home and refused to leave. I knew this was the one. Compared to other places I use to go, I can tell the owner is passionate about providing great care and enjoys the time with the kids.
