The SFUSD Early Education Department operates 35 sites through the city of San Francisco, including 11 early education schools (EES) that specialize solely in Toddler, PreKindergarten, Transitional Kindergarten and/or Out-of-School Time programs. Early Education Department classrooms can be found at over 20 elementary schools (ES) where grade levels range from PreKindergarten to eighth grade. Each school offers unique programs and enrichment activities.
In addition to offering in-depth educational programs, our schools open the doors to many other opportunities for students and their families. We provide support services including program specialists, curriculum and developmental experts, social workers, mental health professionals, as well as family literacy programs, parent engagement activities, gardening and environmental literacy programs, visual and performing arts projects, and much more.
