Welcome to Glenmont Forest Bilingual Playhouse, our licensed home-based daycare in Silver Spring. I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I run our family child care program with my assistant. We are moms ourselves and together, we have 13 years of combined experience. Below are some of the reasons why you should consider our daycare for your little one:

Our bilingual Spanish daycare is open year-round between 8:00am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 4 years old.
Glenmont Forest Bilingual Playhouse is located in the Glenmont Forest neighborhood of Silver Spring, MD. We are near Randolph Rd, just a few minutes away from the Glenmont metro station. Your daily commute will be very convenient since our home is just a few minutes away from Georgia Ave, Connecticut Ave and Veirs Mill Rd.

We had a great experience at this daycare. They took good care of my son and he enjoyed being there. They were caring and attentive. The communication was good as well. When I asked for specific info about his naps they were able to send me the information every day. The facility is spacious and the outdoor area is really nice. I loved that they took the kids outside at least twice a day.

Our daughter is thriving under the teachers’ care. She gets so excited when we pull up to the house! She loves circle time, the daily crafts, and especially loves playing outside in the wonderful outdoor area. My husband and I love the emphasis on outdoor play and are amazed by how good she is at coloring and painting at 16 months. In the 10 months she has been attending daycare, she has met all her milestones and says many words in Spanish and English. We feel so good knowing she is in a fun and loving environment everyday!

The teachers love my son so much. He’s happy at drop off which makes leaving him easier. They make pick up and drop off quick by meeting you at the door and they respond immediately to texts. Overall, I am pleased with my first in home daycare experience.

They have been loving, attentive and fun caregivers. The day is full of activity and music. Our child has learned much about being a kind and helpful person. We have felt safe with their protocols during the pandemic. We would definitely recommend them.

Our child loved this daycare, all the teachers, and the kids! He would name all the names when we were home. The emphasis on outdoor time was great for our active child.

The owner and her assistant are the most amazing care takers, I couldn’t trust anyone better to care for my son. My son started at 3 months old and since his time at the center we have seen so much growth in his developmental milestones. They show a clear love for working with the children and always receive them with a smile. They have open communication and are accessible at anytime, and have expanded into a beautiful new facility. We love the team!

We loved having our little ones here! The owner and her staff gave far more education and structure than we expected, including teaching them Spanish! Most of all, we could tell that the owner and her staff loved our kids as much as we do. Ultimately, leaving our children with her was like having a relative care for them.

Both of our children have stayed with this provider between ages 6 months and 3 years. We have had a great experience! The kids love the daycare and this provider. They learned a lot about being kind to each other and to younger babies, and this provider does a lot of fun activities with them. Dancing, playing, singing number and alphabet songs, etc. The kids run around and play a lot with each other. Also this provider is great about those days when both kids and parents are frazzled. We know that regardless of the mood of our kid at drop off (no shoes because shoes have mysteriously been seemed awful by the toddler? No problem), we know they will be well taken care of, loved, played with, and safe (and eventually, cajoled into shoes).

The caregivers here are so caring, and the whole environment feels like a comfortable family setting. My toddler has been coming here part-time for almost nine months. The home is clean and inviting with lots of toys, and my son especially loves the backyard playground. We've been very happy with this daycare.

This is an absolute gem to my family. My toddler is developmentally delayed and on the ASD spectrum. Finding the right childcare was difficult but Asher fit right in with the caregiver and the other children. The caregiver is very organized, compassionate and extremely patient.
When Asher is dropped in the morning as soon as the door opens he reaches out to her and she carries him and he has the most beautiful smile ever...Asher does not smile that often. We always wonder how this caregiver does it! This is the best feeling for a parent, to walk away knowing your child is happy at his daycare and adores his caretaker. During the summer the kids spend alot of time in the backyard which has a fun mini playground with swings etc.
We are very pleased with this daycare.

This provider is absolutely wonderful with children. Both my children went to her for childcare before they attended preschool. I was always confident when I dropped my children off that they would be safe, happy and well cared for.
