About

VA State Licensed day care home for 20 years, with a home like atmosphere, with a little bit of play, fun, school, dancing, long walks, art and crafts, naps and love. All mixed together for your child to feel safe and happy while you are at work. We work on manners, taking turns, sharing along with personal need, such as washing hands, potty training, nose wiping and being able to pull pants up and down. We have circle time, letters, shapes and colors of the week. We have story time, nursery rhymes and reading, along with arts and crafts (age appropriate). My home has unannounced inspections by VA department of licensing and the * USDA food program, to ensure the home is safe and clean for the children that attend. I only watch one infant at a time to ensure that the child gets the proper attention and love they deserve. Also I am looking for a long term commitment, as one of the family's have been with me for 16 years another one nine years. Provider attends monthly childcare meeting and classes and is member of the local Family Child Care Association. Parent is welcome to view all training certifications. 36 to 50 hours of training for each year, licensing requires on 16 hours. Retired Marine Corp home 32 years active duty. On off hours the family teaches a children's Martial Arts class at the youth center, Quantico base, for ages 4 and up. I am looking forward to working with you. Together we can bring up your child to be the best person they can be. Good luck to all family's looking for childcare. *This is an equal day care provider

We have known Kim Arnold for 25 years. During that time she's provided excellent care for two of our children; one for about a year (before & after school) and the other for approximately for nine years (age 2 - 11); diaper changes, potty training, learning the Pledge of Allegiance, learning shapes, colors, letters, and numbers. Our child was more than ready for Kindergarten when the time rolled around. Now Miss Kim periodically cares for our grandchild, who thoroughly enjoys being at Circle of Friends and seeing the other children there. The quality of care, the time spent with the children, and the planned daily activities (educational and fun time) are all exemplary. Miss Kim's Circle of Friends facility is neat and clean. Miss Kim is fair with the children, i.e., time out when needed. Miss Kim will advise parents MONTHS in advance when she will be unavailable for some reason (i.e., doctor's appointment). As mentioned above, we've known Kim Arnold for 25 years and she was in the business of caring for children long before we met her. It's safe to say that Kim knows her business. She knows children. But most importantly, she cares for the children who are in her charge as if they were her own. Kim Arnold loves what she does and the children love her.
