Almost Home Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Adamstown, MD. Our family child care program is run by Jennifer Pickens who has 20 years of child care experience, former FCPS teacher, and Maryland Certified Teacher for Early Childhood through Elementary School. We are open from 7:00am until 5:00pm and care for children as young as 2 years through 12 years old, including children with special needs. We offer both full time and part time child care, including drop in care. We also have before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. My child spent 2 wonderful years with Miss Jenn! She loved him as one of her own children and really prepared him for kindergarten.

Our daughter has been with Ms. Jenn for 2 years. She has learned so much and is very well prepared for kindergarten. Jenn offers a loving but structured environment. We are so pleased with everything she has done for our daughter!

Almost Home Childcare is a safe, neutering and structured environment. My daughter's transformation has been amazing. She entered Jenn's pre-k as a shy learner that lacked the foundational skills needed for kindergarten. Madison is now reading books. She now understands counting and cardinality and other math concepts. Madison is a confident learner. As a kindergarten teacher in MCPS, I am beyond thrilled!

Placing our children with Jenn has been the best decision we have made. Ethan attends before and after school and during the summer months, and Liam is enrolled full time. I have seen so many positive changes and learning outcomes in both my kids from their time at Almost Home Daycare. My daughter as at this facility for more than 2 years. Ms. Jen is absolutely wonderful and I am very happy with what my daughter learmed and the care she received. I would highly recommend this facility for your child!
