Kirkpatrick Kids Playhouse, Aldie

Hello, parents! Welcome to Kirkpatrick Kids Playhouse, my home-based daycare and preschool in Aldie, VA! I’m the owner and main caregiver of this nurturing child care and quality early childhood education program. I have 12 years of experience and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy. I’m also CPR and First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained (so I can administer medication to all children in my care). I run the daycare with my 2 assistants who speak Spanish, and Persian/Farsi respectively. Upon your request, we can expose your little one to these foreign languages!

Our child care hours of operations are between 7:00 am and 6:00 am, Monday through Friday (I can be flexible and open as early as 6:30 am, but please note that I can provide no more than 10 hours of care per day, so an early drop-off would require an earlier pick-up). We offer flexible child care options to accommodate working parents like yourselves. We can provide full-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks to 6 years old, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. Before and after school care are available for older kids, up to 6 years old (after school care is only available for kindergartners though). Peanut-free breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snacks are served to all my students (included in the tuition rate).

Our family child care and preschool program uses the Play-based teaching philosophy, allowing children to learn through play. For older preschoolers, our curriculum aligns with the Common Core and we use the Kumon program focusing on Early Math and Language. We make sure children in the program know their numbers, shapes, and colors, and start to read. Our goal is to get our students ready for kindergarten! We also supply age-appropriate learning materials (like reading/visual materials). We have a dedicated indoor play area where kids can sit and play together. Our little students will surely enjoy their outdoor playtime, if weather permits, as we have a playground with cars, tables, and picnic area.

Kirkpatrick Kids Playhouse is located in the Kirkpatrick Farms neighborhood of Aldie, VA. Our home is just right off Braddock Rd (route 620) and Sum Spring Rd (659), near Pinebrook Elementary School. We're also just a few minutes’ drive from Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (route 50). Our child care space is spacious, and organized like a preschool classroom. There are large windows that provide great natural lighting and an open layout. We have large playsets and slides for toddlers, as well as smaller blocks, puzzles, and sensory playsets for infants. Our COVID and safety procedures include handwashing throughout the day. We also regularly sanitize the balls from the playpen in the tub with a bleach solution.
