About Me:

Welcome to Playhouse Child Care, Aldie! 👋 I am Hayat Khalifa, the proud founder and main caregiver of Playhouse Child Care. Coming from a large family of eight children, I was naturally drawn to caring for others from a young age. As a mother of three wonderful children, my lifelong passion for child care has been shaped by years of hands-on experience supporting my siblings, relatives, and family friends. While living in England, I earned my Bachelor's in Business Management and Tourism, all while continuing to build my knowledge and love for working with children, eventually receiving my CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training) certifications.

With over 22 years of experience running Playhouse Child Care, I am committed to providing a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow with confidence. I value and take pride in the strong and respectful relationships I've built over the years with both the children and their families. I continue to strive to offer high-quality care in a clean, secure, and loving setting.

Program & Facilities:

Playhouse Child Care's doors are open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks to toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old.

You can have complete confidence that your little ones are in safe and well-capable hands. Every member of the team at Playhouse Child Care has undergone FBI fingerprinting and background checks conducted by the Department of Social Services. In addition, our staff are all certified in CPR and First Aid, and regularly participates in ongoing professional training. This ensures we remain current with the highest standards in safety and early childhood care, allowing us to consistently provide trusted, high-quality child care to families in Loudoun County.

Included in the tuition are daily mid-morning and afternoon snacks; home-cooked lunches are also available for an additional fee. All meals are prepared daily with the freshest ingredients in a tree-nut- and peanut-free kitchen. The menus are thoughtfully planned with the families to ensure dietary requirements are met and respected.

At Playhouse Child Care, we have dedicated age-appropriate areas, ensuring that every child receives personalized attention and care. We have our toddler and infant areas. A learning area for our toddlers and a separate crib/sleeping room for our infant group. Last but not least, our spacious outdoor play area, which is fully fenced for safety. There we have our own mini playset, a trampoline, and plenty of outdoor toys to go around!

Curriculum:

Playhouse Child Care uniquely blends together the Twinkl and The Moments at Home Preschool Program to offer a well-rounded, engaging learning experience tailored to young children. Through hands-on play, story-based lessons, and printable materials from Twinkl, and themed activities that change weekly and seasonally, the children are introduced to early literacy, foundational math concepts, and creative expression in a warm, home-like setting.

We believe learning should be both structured and joyful, meeting each child where they are while gently preparing them for kindergarten and beyond. Daily routine includes time for arts, music, reading, writing, nutrition, language development, and fine motor skills alongside opportunities for curiosity and fun-led exploration. Families have appreciated that our curriculum doesn’t just" teach”, it listens and adapts, supported by over 2 decades of child care experience. With consistent open communication, shared resources, and a strong partnership with families, we create a supportive environment that blends Playhouse Child Care and home together.

Location:

My licensed home-based daycare and preschool is located in the cozy Braddock Corner subdivision in Aldie, VA. My child care program is very conveniently situated just off Gum Spring Rd (SR 659) and Braddock Rd (SR 620) intersection, giving you quick and easy access to Tall Cedars Pkwy and Little River Turnpike (US 50). We're also just a few minutes from the Westview Estates Playground and Pinebrook Elementary School.
