ChildSpace is a fully-licensed learning center for children ages two and a half through five. We offer full-day and half-day Preschool Programs, AfterCare options, Summer Program and a variety of Enrichment Classes. Our state-of-the-art facility – located in the heart of Del Ray – is designed as a modern, bright, home-like space where students can learn, play and grow in very comfortable, inspiring atmosphere. ChildSpace follows The Creative Curriculum for Preschool. This award-winning program is based on the premise that the best way to teach young children is through a combination of positive teacher/child interactions, within an appropriate planned schedule, in an inspiring environment. The Creative Curriculum for Preschool is fully aligned with the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework and State early learning standards. ChildSpace offers a very low student to teacher ratio – ensuring the individualized attention each child needs to thrive. We believe learning in small groups of peers allows children to gain confidence and become independent thinkers. Everyday learning activities are built around the interests of each student and the group as a whole. The preschool years are the best time to introduce children to a wide variety of subjects – while children’s ability to absorb new information is at its peak. Our goal is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond…all while having fun.
