Mercy Chavez Family Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Alexandria, VA. Our family child care program is run by Mercy Chavez who has 22 years of child care experience. We are open from 6:00am until 6:00pm and care for children as young as 1 month through 12 years old, including children with special needs. We offer preschool, as well as, both full time and part time child care. We also have before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. If needed, transportation can be arranged. We provide meals. Mercy Chavez Family Child Care is a co-op program that requires parents' active involvement. Also, Mercy Chavez Family Child Care have a language immersion program that offers English and Spanish. At a minimum, our teachers have an Associate's degree. There is not enough words to describe the loving, caring woman that Mercy is. She shows all of the children love and ensures they are all well taken care of. My sons have been going to her since my youngest was 3 months old, he is not about to start Pre-K and I will continue to use her until I no longer can. She is such a sweet and loving person, you will fall in love with her!

My son has been going to Mercy since he was 3 months old. Mercy has always been flexible to our schedule. My son has asthma, her and her staff always tended to his needs when it came to providing him with his treatments. Most of which he fought me on at home but was so comfortable with them. That showed me that he was in great hands throughout the day while I was at work. If you ever need care for your kids, I wouldn't hesitate in contacting her.
