Gum Springs Kiddie House is a licensed family child care and preschool program in Alexandria, VA. The owner and main caregiver of this intimate family child care and early childhood education program is a licensed provider with a decade of experience. She has a diploma in Montessori education and is CPR & First-aid certified. She’s also a mom of 2, so she can relate to your needs and concerns when it comes to finding the best second home for your little precious one.
Program:
Gum Springs Kiddie House follows the Play-based learning approach and uses a pre-K curriculum with fun, educational activities such as arts & crafts. They offer full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the ages of 12 months and 5 years old. Before and after-school care is also available for school-age children above 12 years old.
This home-based daycare and preschool is open all year-round from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This daycare is a non-smoking and non-alcohol environment and is very clean. Children in their care are provided with homemade nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks are all included in the tuition).

Our daughter recently enrolled in this day care a few months ago and she has blossomed. It is quite amazing. Her vocabulary, manners and skill set have increased substantially. This caregiver has provided childcare for both of my children for 9 plus years; one is 13 and the other is 6. I can honestly say it was meant for us to meet her. She's a Saint. She's loving. She's kind. She's reliable. She's flexible. She's creative. She's clean and her home is clean a safe. And she is extremely nurturing. And strict when need be.

The owner provides a great outlined schedule for children that do not have regimented schedules already built in. Wholesome food is available for every meal period. She is more than accommodating to more difficult schedules. I would recommend this family child care to anyone.
