Hello, parents! I'm thrilled to welcome you to Elmwood Bilingual Playhouse, my in-home daycare and preschool program in Alexandria, VA. My child care facility is right off Elmwood Dr, in the Clermont neighborhood (close to Clermont Elementary School). We’re near the I-495 and the Van Dorn Street metro station, making your daily commute more convenient!

As a mom of two myself, I know how important it is to find the right child care facility for your precious little ones. I am dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for infants and toddlers. With 25 years of experience, including working with various families as a nanny and as an assistant in a licensed daycare, I have the skills needed to offer the best care possible. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring your child's safety at all times. Starting my own daycare has been a dream come true because it allows me to make a positive impact on children's early development and learning. Building strong relationships with families and being a trusted part of their children's lives brings me joy and fulfillment. I am passionate about creating a space where children feel loved and supported every day!

Elmwood Bilingual Playhouse is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm. We offer both full-time and part-time care, catering to children from 3 months to 30 months old. We embrace a play-based learning philosophy and offer children a bilingual Spanish and English setting to enrich children’s language skills and cultural understanding. Our curriculum is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. Here’s a typical day at our daycare: - Morning Arrival: We start our day with a warm welcome and settling in. - Circle Time: This is when we gather together for songs, stories, and interactive activities that promote language development and social skills. - Snack Time: A healthy snack to keep our little ones energize (snacks are included in the tuition!) - Activity Time: Children participate in various activities, including arts and crafts, sensory play, and outdoor exploration. - Lunch: our facility is a peanut-free and tree-nut free environment to ensure the safety of children with allergies. - Nap Time: A restful period to recharge. - Afternoon Play: More playtime to explore, imagine, and create. - Story Time: We end the day with a cozy story before pickup time!
