Welcome to Rose Hill Farms Little Cottage, where your child's growth and happiness are our top priorities! Our licensed child care and preschool program in nestled in the the Rose Hill Farms neighborhood of Alexandria, VA. Our home is conveniently located just off Franconia Rd, near Mark Twain Middle School. We're between Telegraph Rd (route 611) and the Capital Beltway (I-495), ensuring a hassle-free commute for you.
About Our Daycare:
Our daycare is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday and we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years old. Our full-time child care service offers a flexible and dependable solution for working families. Nutrition is a vital aspect of a child’s development, so we provide healthy lunch and snacks to fuel your child's activities.
About the Staff:
I’m the owner and led teacher of this early education program, and I'm also a dedicated mom of 3. I have 25 years of experience in child care and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Alongside me is my skilled assistant, who is a mother of 2 with 12 years of experience. We’re both parents, so we understand the unique needs of families, and we’re committed to ensuring each child's well-being.

Curriculum:
Our play-based approach to learning encourages creativity, exploration, and social interaction. We believe that children learn best through play and hands-on experiences, so our curriculum is designed to engage their imaginations and foster a love for learning.
We also offer fun extra-curricular activities to enrich your child’s experience. Through art and music sessions, children can unleash their inner creativity and express themselves. We use a music education program called Kindermusik, which brings the joy of music and movement into their lives, enhancing their cognitive and motor skills.

This Family Child Care is an exceptional child care facility. My two daughters have attended for almost 5 years and there is no one I trust more to care for my children. Both of our sons attended this daycare since they were 3 months old. It was difficult for us as first time parents to leave our son at a daycare but they made it so easy. They were loved and well taken care of. You won’t get daily text updates of your child but know that they are not on their phone and are actually playing and doing something with your child. Our oldest started Kindergarten two years ago but we still keep in touch .

We loved them and were sad to leave them when we moved. We felt our child was well cared for and loved. Our child developed great eating habits with them and was always excited to attend.

We love this daycare! Everyone is warm, welcoming and caring. We can tell they truly care for our daughter. They are very attentive and genuinely care for the children. It's a relief to know she is in a safe, caring environment where she is learning, becoming socialized and having fun. It has been so nice to find a place for our daughter where we feel confident and at ease while we are at work.

We had the unbelievable privilege of having them care for our daughter, N, from the time she was 6 months old until she started PreK. Everyday, we were treated as family. We absolutely love this childcare center! They are wonderful teachers and caregivers for my kids. We have sent both our boys there from 4 months to 3 years and both of them love going. We are so pleased with their care and curriculum and love they give our children. I would 100% recommend them to anyone seeking a safe, positive, and loving environment where your children can grow. Our current two-year old son is our 4th child that has attended this family child care program. We feel incredibly blessed and lucky that we found this provider and her family almost 12 years ago. Our kids are happy, healthy, and safe at this daycare every day and we can go off to our very busy jobs and know the kids are in caring hands. My kiddo loves it here with homemade food everyday, safe environment inside and outside, and loving caregivers. Rates very reasonable for this area, supports military families, note there are pets in the home, but never a problem.
