Welcome to Seminary Rd Children's Place, my home daycare in Alexandria! I’m the owner and the main caregiver of this small family child care and preschool program. I have 5 years of experience caring for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. I also have my CPR/First-aid certifications but most importantly, I’m a mother of a young baby myself. So I know how parents feel about finding the right daycare! My goal is to provide safe and quality child care, at affordable rates for families. We offer full-time and part-time daycare for infants as young as 6 weeks old. We have a preschool program, and also offer before and after school care for kids up to 12 years old (the closest school is John Adams Elementary School.) We are a peanut-free and tree-nut free daycare, and snacks are included in the tuition.

I not only provide safe child care for your baby, but also provide a quality early learning environment toddlers and preschoolers, through 5 years old. My little students will be learning the basics such as ABCs, counting, shapes, and colors. We also have daily story time, nap time, music time, arts and crafts, and of course, lots of individual attention and interaction. Activities will be tailored to their age and we also use technology (computer and tablets) as a learning tool. I read books to babies, sing songs for them, and we practice tummy time. For older kids, we follow the play-based approach, which allows them to learn through play. Weather permitting, children will also play in our fenced yard which has slides, swings and other fun toys! Seminary Rd Children's Place is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. If you have particular needs, I can may be flexible, please ask.
