Welcome to Parklawn Kiddie House, my licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Alexandria, VA. I’m located in the Parklawn neighborhood, near Parklawn Elementary School. My child care facility is very accessible to commuters since I’m just 2 minutes’ away from Lincolnia Rd (route 613) and Columbia Pike (route 244). I’m the owner and main caregiver of this loving and nurturing family child care and early childhood education program. I’m a professional caregiver with a decade of experience, CPR and First-aid certifications, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. I run my daycare with my assistant who has a Master’s Degree in Economics, and we’re both moms so we can certainly relate to your concerns when it comes to finding the best care for your little precious one.

Parklawn Kiddie House is a Play-based early learning program using a Creative Curriculum. Our daily program includes circle time, singing songs, free play, and tummy time. My preschool curriculum focuses on sight words, flashcards, and building blocks to prepare children for school. My daycare has great natural lighting and the walls are decorated with learning posters and educational charts. There are also lots of toys for both infants and toddlers that include large playsets, blocks, puzzles, and educational learning materials that encourage sensory integration. In addition to English, I also speak Hindi and Urdu and can expose your child to these foreign languages upon your request (however, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual or full immersion program).

My daycare is open all throughout the year from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays (I can be somewhat flexible with hours, if needed, though tuition might need to be adjusted for longer hours). I offer full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 12 years old. Lunch and snacks are already included in the tuition and provided to all kids attending my program. My daycare is a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent any possible allergies.
