Welcome to Valley Park Little Playhouse, my in-home daycare and preschool in Alexandria, VA. My child care facility is located in the Valley Park apartment complex, right off Edsall Rd (near Bren Mar Park Elementary School). My home is accessible for all commuters since I have easy access to the I-395 (Edsall Road exit 2A) and the I-495 (Capital Beltway).
About Me
Im the owner and main caregiver of this intimate and nurturing family child care program. I have 8 years of professional experience with CPR & First-aid certifications, so you can be sure that your little one is safe at all times.
As a mother myself, I can definitely relate to your needs when it comes to finding the best second home for your child. Your baby is my priority and will receive plenty of individual attention since I only take a maximum of 5 children.
Curriculum
My curriculum focuses on preparing kids for school and child development and cognitive growth through a play-based learning approach.
In my daycare and preschool program, many fun and educational activities await your child (such as arts & crafts and music)! I also supply my students with age-appropriate academic learning materials and toys. Infants are engaged in different activities like tummy time and sensory activities.
Program
Valley Park Little Playhouse is open year-round between 7:30am and 5:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays. I can provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 1 month, as well as toddlers, and preschoolers. Lunch and snacks are already included in the tuition and provided to all kids enrolled full-time.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found this provider. She has been caring for my daughter since she was 5 months old. She was phenomenal. we saw Lennon progress so much in her time with her. Lennon was excited every morning when we would drop her off and loved the 1-on-1 time. She's dedicated to each of the children. I would recommend her to anyone.

The caregiver provides excellent care for our twin boys. She is always proactive in communicating, sharing pictures throughout the day and advising on best approaches. Our boys give her big smiles when they arrive and they come home tired from all the activities. We feel like they’re in solid hands and would recommend this daycare.

We brought our daughter to this provider at the recommendation of a friend and have been more than satisfied. We get daily updates with photos throughout the day, our child eats a balanced variety of foods at meal and snack times, and we love the bond our daughter has made with the other kids because the environment is so close-knit. Our daughter has blossomed over the last several months and we know so much of it is from this provider!

This provider is wonderful! Our child has been there for almost a year and we continue to be so happy with her care, professionalism, cleanliness, and communication. We know our daughter is in great hands. We receive pictures, updates, and videos throughout the day which brings us joy! Highly recommend this provider!!
