Welcome to Beulah Cozy Playhouse, my family child care and preschool program in Alexandria, VA. My daycare is located in the Kingstowne neighborhood of Alexandria, right off Beulah St (near Lane Elementary School and Beulah Park). I have easy access to Telegraph Rd (route 611) and the Franconia-Springfield Pwky (route 289), as well as the I- 95.
About Me
Im a professional early childhood educator with a solid background in the child care industry. I have a total of 22 years of experience working with children and families, which I really enjoy doing. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and also took many courses in Childhood Development.
Before opening my home daycare, I worked as a teacher in pre-K and private school. Im a mother myself and I have CPR & First-aid certifications, so you can be sure that youre little one is safe at all times. Parents are welcome to bring food for their children.
Curriculum & Program
I believe that children learn best through play, which is why I follow the Play-based teaching philosophy. I also incorporate elements of the Montessori approach into my curriculum. I have age-appropriate learning materials for my little students and every Sunday, I run an Arabic full-immersion class for interested families.
Beulah Cozy Playhouse is open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 4 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old.
I also offer drop-in care for families that are only looking for occasional child care needs. Before and after school care are available for older kids, up to 12 years old (my home is close to Lane Elementary School).

I’ve done extensive research and visited several child care facilities before making my decision to go with this provider. We love her day care. My son runs to the her door every morning happy and smiley. I’m very happy that we found her!

We are so thankful to have found this provider and her sister! Being first time parents, we had many questions and this provider was very patient and helpful to make sure my husband and I felt comfortable. She also is flexible with communication styles so that we knew how the day went. Lastly, we can tell how happy our daughter is just by the way she looks at her teachers!

I am very thankful for the provider and the ladies that work here . The caregivers has been so amazing to my son. They have been very patient with me by me being a first time mom. They have been taking wonderful care of my son since 5 months . It has been amazing to see how caring they have been for my child . I highly recommend this family child care .

This provider has been so wonderful to my son. She had had him in her care since he was two months. He is now one and he looks at her like a second mother! her staff are very sweet, caring and polite, and it is always very clean. I would definitely recommend this provider for your little ones

This provider is an excellent teacher and caretaker. I know my two children are in good hands when they are with her. I have peace of mind knowing they are in a safe and loving environment. This provider is great at keeping me aware of daily happenings and accomplishments. I would recommend This provider to any family.
