Welcome to Morning View Cozy Corner, a licensed home-based daycare and preschool program in Alexandria, VA. Located in the cozy Island Creek neighborhood, our daycare is just off Morning View Ln and Beulah St (SR 613), with quick access to Telegraph Rd (SR 611), Fairfax County Pkwy (286), and Franconia-Springfield Pkwy (289). We are also only a few minutes from Island Creek Elementary School, making daily drop-offs and pick-ups easier for busy local families.

Program:

Our doors are open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers. We also provide before and after-school care for children up to 12 years old, helping make mornings easier and afternoons less stressful for families.

Well-balanced, healthy snacks are provided daily and are included in tuition. To help protect children with allergies, we maintain a peanut-free and tree-nut-free environment.

About Me:

For over 18 years, I have had the privilege of working with children in Fairfax County schools, an experience that has strengthened my passion for early childhood education and child care. Inspired by a desire to make an even greater impact, I followed my dream of opening Morning View Cozy Corner.

My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing early learning environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive in a space that feels like a second home. 🌟

In addition to my teaching background, I hold a master's degree in Library Science and am certified in CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training). I am also fluent in English, Italian, and Amharic. Upon request, I can introduce your child to Italian or Amharic through age-appropriate activities and daily interactions, helping support early language development and cultural awareness.

Starting Morning View Cozy Corner allows me to provide each child with the personal attention, encouragement, and care they deserve. I believe in working closely with families to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success. I look forward to welcoming your family into our community and becoming a trusted partner in your child's early learning journey.

Daily Activities:

Our daily schedule is built around play-based learning that encourages children to explore, discover, and develop essential early childhood skills. Children are gently introduced to foundational concepts such as numbers, writing, letters, colors, and shapes. Circle time and story time help strengthen attention, communication, and language skills in a supportive group learning setting.

Throughout the day, children enjoy a variety of enriching activities, including:
