Welcome to Little River Cozy Corner, a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool program in Annandale, VA. We’re located within the Little River Square apartment complex, just off Little River Turnpike (SR-236) and Medford Drive, making drop-offs and pick-ups simple for busy families. Our location is also just minutes from Columbia Pike (SR-244) and Annandale Terrace Elementary School, offering easy access for parents commuting through the area.

Program:

We offer year-round child care, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Our program is open to infants as young as 2 months old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Flexible schedule options are available, including full-time, part-time, and drop-in care to accommodate your family’s unique needs.

All meals are included in tuition and are prepared fresh in a peanut-free and tree-nut-free environment to ensure the safety of children with allergies. Our focus on healthy and nutritious food supports each child’s well-being and development.

About Me:

I’m the owner and lead caregiver here at Little River Cozy Corner. I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and am certified in CPR and First Aid, with over five years of experience in early childhood care.

My journey in child care began with a deep love for working with little ones, encouraged by friends who saw how naturally I connected with children. This isn’t just a job to me, it’s a calling! I’m passionate about creating a warm, safe, and supportive space where children can learn, grow, and feel truly cared for during these foundational years.

Curriculum:

My curriculum is built on love, respect, and patience. These are core values that guide everything I do. We use a STEAM-based approach that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through fun, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and critical thinking.

To enrich your child’s learning, we also offer Spanish immersion, helping children develop bilingual language skills and cultural understanding from an early age. Our goal is to prepare your little one not just for kindergarten, but for a lifetime of learning. We’ve created a daily rhythm that blends education, care, and fun—so your child enjoys a joyful, balanced day.

Daily Routine:

Our days start with a warm welcome and a shared breakfast after handwashing. When the weather allows, we head outside to the park for free play and snack time in the fresh air. Back inside, we follow a structured yet flexible routine that includes diaper checks, free play, and a healthy lunch.

After lunch, it’s time to rest and recharge with a nap. The afternoon includes engaging activities and games designed to support both learning and creativity. As the day comes to a close, we help each child get ready for pick-up, ensuring they leave feeling safe, happy, and loved.
