Hello Parents: I am Karima, the owner of Star Beginnings Home Daycare (aka Karima's Home Daycare), a safe and high-quality home daycare. As a mother of 6, I strive to provide a loving and educational environment for your own children. I have 20 years of experience in child care (most in my own family child care program, but also in a larger preschool). I run our home daycare with my assistant who also has 10 years of child care experience. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I hold a Master's Degree in Health Management as well as a graduate certificate in Global Health. I also stay abreast of my field with training in child care and early education such as "Positive Principles of Discipline," "Caring for Infants," "Emergency Preparedness," "Nutrition for Young Children," and "Reading for Young Children and Toddlers".

Karima's Home Daycare is a play-based, Montessori-inspired daycare. We strive to provide the highest care for your child and to create not only a safe and enjoyable environment, but one in which your child will learn and grow as comfortably as possible. I maintain a structured schedule with still a variety of activities for your child to engage in. We work to stay in communication with parents and keep them in the loop for whichever activity we may be engaging in. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment in which your child will be able to develop social and emotional skills with their peers. From trips to the library and park, we put much effort into making sure that your child is always enjoying their time and learning.

Karima's Home Daycare is a year-round home daycare, open from 7:30am until 6:00pm Mon-Fri. We offer full time child care for children as young as 3 months through 2 years old. We provide snacks and lunch, and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment. We’re located in the Woodland Acres community in Mclean, VA. Our daycare facility is right off Valley Wood Rd and Old Dominion Dr. We’re conveniently located for all commuters since we have easy access to all major roads such as N Glebe Rd (route 120) and Lee Hwy (US-29).
