Welcome to Bells Mill Playhouse, my nurturing family child care and preschool program in Bethesda, MD. My home-based daycare is located in the Potomac Outside neighborhood, in the Ashleigh area of Bethesda. We are very accessible to commuters since we're near Democracy Blvd as well as Bradley Blvd (route 191), River Rd (route 190), and the Capital Beltway (I-495). Perfect for your daily commute to work!
About The Owner:
I'm the owner and main caregiver of this in-home daycare and I'm a mom of 3. I am a licensed provider with almost a decade of child care experience and I'm also CPR & First-aid certified, so children under my care are safe at all times. Prior to opening my own daycare, I worked as a volunteer in various churches for 8 years.
My passion for child care and genuine love for kids pushed me to open my own daycare. I love teaching children new things and helping them grow. They bring me great joy and fill my day with fun and laughter. Being a part of their early stages of life and teaching them essential social and cognitive skills that will be useful throughout the entirety of their life means a lot to me.
Program:
Bells Mill Playhouse is a play-based program and engages children in various fun activities like arts & crafts, cooking, baking, etc. In addition to English, I also speak Amharic and Tigrinya and can teach your kids these foreign languages upon request.
We are open all throughout the year from Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. We provide full-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. Our daycare provides snacks to kids attending their program (already included in the tuition).

She is the best day care provider in this area. She always goes the extra mile, she is very understanding, helpful, and patient. My Wife and I have been using this day care provider for over an 2 years and this has been the best day care experience my son and I (the parent) has had.

The owner created a healthy environment, loving atmosphere and was dedicated toward caring for my daughter. An availability came open at Bells Mill on short notice and we were able to visit and take the spot! My infant began at 4 months old having never been away from me and is very happy. She’s never cried at drop off or pick up - even on the first day! We have loved our experience with this caregiver. My son started when he was 4 months and has really thrived under her care. Her daycare is beautiful, large and bright and the children are very happy to play there. She created a lovely learning environment with well curated toys and equipment. She is patient, kind and a fantastic partner for parents as well.

She has cared for our infant since she was 11 weeks old and she is now approaching 11 months. She is patient, kind, and attentive. She keeps a clean, modern facility with plenty of structure for toddlers and infants. We trust her like family and are so grateful to have her in our daughters life. I highly recommend her.
