About Us
Welcome to Fairwood Kids Playhouse, my educational home daycare and preschool in Bowie, MD. I'm the owner and lead teacher and I have a decade of experience in child care. I'm CPR and first-aid certified as well as M.A.T trained, so I can administer medication to all children attending my program.
I was a babysitter for 10 years, but I decided to open a licensed daycare so I can offer affordable and nurturing care to children, while also caring for my own. As a mother of 2 myself, I can assure you that I will treat every child in my care as if they were my own! I run the family daycare with my assistant who's also a mom herself, and who has 10 years of experience.
About Our Daycare
My daycare and preschool is open year-round between 7:00 am and midnight, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers up to 5 years old. Standard tuition covers care during our regular hours of operation 7:00am-6:00pm, but special evening care 6:00pm-midnight can be arranged.
Curriculum
My child care program uses the Creative Curriculum, developing my little students' creativity and critical thinking skills, and boosting their self-esteem. I have a spacious indoor space where children can freely move and play. I also offer extra-curricular activities (focusing on Arts & Crafts and Early Academics). In addition to English, I speak Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi and upon your request, I can expose your child to these foreign languages (please note though that my daycare is not a bilingual program).
Location
Fairwood Kids Playhouse is in the Fairwood community of Bowie, MD. I'm right off Fairwood Pkwy, near Northeast Branch Park and Collington Branch Park. Your commute to work will be convenient since my facility is centrally located between Washington DC, Baltimore and Annapolis. We're within a few minutes of these major roads: John Hanson Hwy (route 50), Annapolis Rd (route 450), Collington Rd (route 197) and also the major highways I-495, I-295 and I-97. The Largo Town Center and New Carrollton metro stations are a 15-min drive away, offering a ten minute commute into Washington DC.

They are amazing with our daughter. Our daughter has been there since she was 6 months. She's doing so well developmentally and reaching all her milestones. They do story time and fun activities around holidays. We get daily pictures and videos. Would highly recommend.

The owner and her staff are very professional and communicate with the parents daily via daycare app, phone call, and/or text of your child’s progress throughout the day, school closures, and any supplies your child may need. I absolutely love this provider! She is simply amazing at what she does. She helped me feel at ease when dropping my son off and has been great these past five months. She is involved and really cares for every child and there learning development skills as well. Knowing my son is in good hands makes this working momma’s day easier.

I feel completely safe leaving Tre with this provider. I am glad that my wife and I were able to find her as she has been amazing with our son. She has taken a huge stress relief during this pandemic!!!

My 17 month old child is two weeks into his experience in this daycare. Since beginning, he has accepted more foods during meal times and shown increased interest in books. This provider has cared for my child for a year and a half now and we have been very pleased. The facility (a converted in-law suite) is clean, well-lit, and well-maintained. This is the BEST day care I have sent my daughter to. I’ve been sending her for over 2 years now, The provider and her staff are the best. There is not a single dull moment here and my child absolutely loves going in everyday!
