Welcome to Wittle Sunshine Daycare, my licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Bowie, MD. I’m Zunaira Khan, the owner and caregiver here. I care for infants starting at 12 months, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years old, and also offer before and after school care for kids up to 12 years old, along with a summer camp program. We're open Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with limited flexibility for later pickup if needed. At Wittle Sunshine Daycare, I use a play-based curriculum that incorporates aspects of the Waldorf philosophy. While the primary language of instruction is English, I also speak Urdu and Punjabi, and I’m happy to introduce children to these languages if parents are interested. The daycare operates from a spacious single-family home, where one level is dedicated entirely to the program. There’s a library corner, a multipurpose activity space, a separate nap room, and a fenced backyard with outdoor play equipment. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, and my background includes healthcare experience working with children in emergency settings, which has helped shape a strong focus on child safety and well-being.
