Happy Hands - A School For Little People

Our school represents a community of friends and an environment of space and materials that provide the opportunity for children to explore the interests and motivations that emerge from them. The teacher's role is to listen, observe and document the learning, ideas, experiences and feelings so they can be revisited. Teachers ask open ended questions that scaffold the children's understandings as they make meaning in their lives. Children are strong, rich and capable. They are ready to construct their learning with everything their environment brings them. Children use many 'languages' to experience learning. Blocks, ropes, scarves, paint, clay are a few of the languages children use at our school. Parents are partners in the process. Accepts nh subsidyopen on snow days
