Welcome to Lake Braddock Playhouse, my home-based daycare and preschool program located in the Lake Braddock community in Burke, VA! My child care program is conveniently located near the intersection of Guinea Rd (SR 651) and Braddock Rd (SR 620), with easy access to Commonwealth Blvd and Ox Rd (SR 123), and a few minutes from Little River Turnpike (SR 236) and the I-495 Capital Beltway.

My home is also just a few minutes from Lake Braddock Park and Little Run Elementary School, making my family child care program a convenient option for families in Burke and the surrounding Fairfax County area.

Program:

Lake Braddock Playhouse operates year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months old, toddlers, and preschoolers. We also provide before and after-school care for children up to 10 years old.

Tuition includes delicious, wholesome meals every day. Lunch and snacks are carefully prepared in a tree-nut- and peanut-free kitchen, so children can enjoy them safely and parents can have extra peace of mind.

About Me:

Hello parents! 👋 I am the proud owner and main caregiver of Lake Braddock Playhouse, which I started because of my love for being around children. As a parent myself, I have spent more than 7 years nurturing and guiding my own children through their early development.

I also gained valuable hands-on experience as a teacher’s assistant at my child’s preschool for 2 years, where I worked closely with children of different ages, personalities, and learning abilities. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, flexible, and understanding approach to child care.

Upon request, I can also expose your child to additional languages and cultures beyond English, as I am fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali. Above all, I prioritize safety and peace of mind for families. I have taken the appropriate steps to help ensure a safe environment at Lake Braddock Playhouse, and I am CPR and First Aid certified.

Lake Braddock Playhouse is more than just a profession to me. It is a chance to build meaningful relationships and make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families. Every day brings opportunities for creativity, connection, and growth, and I take pride in being part of each child’s early journey.

Curriculum:

At Lake Braddock Playhouse, we follow a structured, play-based curriculum that supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Through interactive activities, guided play, and meaningful hands-on experiences, children are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow at their own pace.

With a maximum of 4 children at any given time, we are able to provide highly individualized attention and specialized care tailored to each child’s needs. This small-group approach allows us to build strong connections with each child, support their unique learning style, and create meaningful daily learning experiences.

Our goal is to help every child feel secure, valued, and excited to discover the world around them.

Daily Routine:

Our daily routine is designed to provide a balance of play, learning, and rest in a warm and engaging environment. Mornings begin with arrival and free play, giving children time to settle in and enjoy breakfast at their own pace. We then gather for circle time, which includes a morning song and story time to build routine and support early language skills.

From there, we move on to structured activities such as arts and crafts, puzzles, writing, and other hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity and problem-solving. Children also enjoy a healthy mid-morning snack break.

As the day continues, weather permitting, we enjoy outdoor activities such as nature walks or playground time. These activities give children the chance to stay active, explore their environment, and enjoy fresh air.

After outdoor time, children have lunch followed by a scheduled nap time to help them rest and recharge. In the afternoon, we transition to indoor play, music, dance, and other enriching activities that support self-expression and cooperation. Children also enjoy an afternoon snack.

The day winds down with continued indoor play and a cheerful goodbye song before pick-up, helping children transition smoothly as they head home. This consistent routine gives children security, stability, and something to look forward to each day.
