Welcome to Oak Fair Kids Playhouse, our a licensed in-home daycare and preschool in Burtonsville, MD! 🎉 Conveniently located in the Oak Fair community, within the Valley Stream Estates neighborhood, our facility is just off Cedar Tree Dr, and a few minutes from Burtonsville Elementary School.

We're also within quick and easy access to Sandy Spring (MD 198), Columbia Pike (US 29), and the I-95. Whether you are looking for infant care, toddler child care, or a preschool program in Burtonsville, our location makes drop-off and pick-up easier for busy families!

Program:

Our child care program is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years of age. Because every family's schedule and child care needs are different, we also offer drop-in care for occasional or unexpected child care needs. Daily snacks are provided to all children in our care and are included in tuition.

Every child deserves a safe, loving, and supportive place to learn and grow. At Oak Fair Kids Playhouse, we warmly welcome children with special needs, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every child feels accepted, respected, and cared for. ❤ For the safety of children with allergies, we also maintain a peanut-free and tree-nut-free environment.

About Me:

Hello, parents! I am the owner and primary child care provider at Oak Fair Kids Playhouse. I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher, and my passion for working with children inspired me to open my own daycare. As a mother of four, I understand how important it is to find child care that feels trustworthy, caring, and like a true extension of home.

With 10 years of hands-on child care experience, a Child Development Associate's Degree (CDA), and CPR and First Aid certifications, I bring both experience and a commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for every child. Working with children gives me a unique sense of purpose and joy, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support them during such an important stage of their development.

My goal is to provide families in Burtonsville and the surrounding community with quality child care while giving children a warm, family-like environment where they feel safe, valued, and happy. In addition to English, I am fluent in Punjabi and Hindi and, upon request, can introduce children to these languages through everyday conversations and interactions.

I hope every child who walks through our doors feels loved, and excited to come back each day! I look forward to partnering with parents and giving their children a strong, nurturing start during these important early years.

Philosophy:

As a parent myself, I understand firsthand how important it is for children to receive quality care in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Raising four well-mannered, smart, and enthusiastic children has given me valuable experience and a deep appreciation for the unique needs of every child. My philosophy is to create a trustworthy, family-like environment where children feel respected, and comfortable developing at their own pace.

I created Oak Fair Kids Playhouse to feel like a second home where children can explore, ask questions, build friendships, and learn through play and age-appropriate activities. Along with nurturing care, I provide a strong early learning curriculum designed to support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while preparing them for the next steps in their educational journey.

My goal is not only to care for children, but also to help them develop the confidence, curiosity, and skills they need to flourish. Through a balance of learning, play, nurturing care, and meaningful daily experiences, I want children to enjoy their time here while reaching new milestones along the way.

Daily Activities:

Each day at Oak Fair Kids Playhouse is filled with opportunities for children to learn, play, and build meaningful relationships. Our mornings begin with arrival and free play, giving children time to settle in, connect with their friends, and socialize. We then move into circle time, outdoor play, a morning snack, and engaging, age-appropriate learning activities before lunch and nap time.

After a well-deserved rest, children enjoy an afternoon snack followed by group activities, art, music, and additional outdoor play when the weather allows. Our activities are planned to make each part of the day both enjoyable and meaningful while supporting children's learning and development.

We also place a strong emphasis on healthy routines and good hygiene habits. Children are encouraged to wash their hands regularly throughout the day, including before meals, after eating, after outdoor play, and during transitions between activities. These routines help children move comfortably from one part of the day to the next while developing independence and becoming familiar with the rhythm of their day.

Most importantly, we want every child to leave Oak Fair Kids Playhouse with a smile, a new experience to share, and excitement about coming back the next day! 😊
