Hello parents, and welcome to Westview Park Children’s Corner! We are a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in the family-friendly Westview Park neighborhood of Catonsville, MD. Our convenient location is just off Corby Road, near the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), Baltimore National Pike (US 40), and I-70.

We are also only a few minutes from Woodbridge Elementary School and Johnnycake Elementary School. This convenient Catonsville location makes our child care program accessible for families who live or work throughout the surrounding area. 🏫

Program:

Westview Park Children’s Corner is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We offer flexible child care options designed to meet the needs of families in our community.

Our program provides full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 2 weeks old, as well as care for toddlers and preschoolers. We also offer before-school and after-school care for children up to 12 years old, making our program a convenient option for families with children attending nearby schools.

For families who need occasional support, babysitting services are also available for short-term or flexible child care needs. By offering care for several age groups, Westview Park Children’s Corner can support families through different stages of their children’s early years.

We warmly welcome children of all abilities, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Down syndrome. We work closely with families to understand each child’s individual strengths, needs, routines, and personality so we can provide a caring, positive, and inclusive experience.

To maintain a high quality of care for every child, our program can currently accommodate children whose needs can be supported within our regular daycare environment and staffing ratios. We value open communication and are committed to working in partnership with families to support each child’s development and well-being.

About Me:

I am the owner and primary caregiver at Westview Park Children’s Corner. I bring more than five years of child care experience to the program and hold certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Training (M.A.T.).

My experience as both a child care assistant and a parent inspired me to open Westview Park Children’s Corner and turn my passion for caring for children into a meaningful career. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are receiving patient, dependable, and attentive care.

My goal is to provide a welcoming, home-like environment where children feel comfortable exploring, learning, and growing at their own pace. Each child is treated with kindness, patience, and genuine attention throughout the day.

One of my greatest joys as a child care provider is watching children discover new interests, develop new skills, and celebrate important milestones. Through open communication and a strong partnership between home and daycare, I have been fortunate to build lasting relationships with families based on trust, collaboration, and mutual support.

Philosophy:

At Westview Park Children’s Corner, our philosophy is based on the belief that children learn best through meaningful experiences, exploration, and positive relationships. Child safety is always our highest priority, and we provide a screen-free environment where children can learn and play with confidence.

Children have access to thoughtfully selected toys, books, sensory activities, and other hands-on learning materials. These experiences encourage imagination, independence, curiosity, and the development of early problem-solving skills.

I believe quality child care is built on trust, respect, and a strong partnership with families. Through open and honest communication, I work to help parents feel connected to and informed about their child’s daily experiences and progress.

Every child is unique, and my goal is to provide individualized care that celebrates each child’s personality, interests, and abilities. I want children to develop confidence, curiosity, and a lasting love of learning in an environment where they feel safe and supported.

Daily Activities:

Our daily activities are guided by a play-based curriculum that helps children learn through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Each day begins with a warm morning welcome and circle time, when children sing songs, join conversations, and prepare for the day ahead.

Throughout the day, children participate in activities such as arts and crafts, painting, story time, outdoor play, sensory exploration, and imaginative play. Activities are selected to reflect the children’s ages, interests, and developing abilities.

Children also share meals, practice early learning skills through age-appropriate games and activities, and enjoy quiet time to rest and recharge. Each part of the day is thoughtfully planned to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while keeping learning enjoyable and engaging.

At Westview Park Children’s Corner, every day gives children opportunities to explore new ideas, develop friendships, and create happy memories through play. Our goal is to help children feel excited to arrive, comfortable throughout the day, and proud of what they are learning.
