Ring Around The Rosie Family Child Daycare operated by licensed provider, Rosie Irons, for over 37 years in her single family home in Centreville (zip 20121). Here at Rosie's my husband, John, and I practice and provide a quality, loving and nurturing home daycare and early child education program. John and I both have a bachelor's degree and John served in the military. We are also certified in CPR, First Aid and Rosie has her MAT certificate (Medication Administration Training). Curriculum and Philosophy Rosie's overall curriculum program is designed to provide children the opportunity to participate in Fundamental learning in our preschool program. Fundamental learning allows children to practice skill building, form friendships, and explore stimuli. From learning colors and identifying numbers to geography, children are encouraged to learn through structured play activities designed to provide learning and development. We also implement a Mother Goose program that is designed to stimulate children's imaginative play with music and movement and storytelling. Here at Rosie's we understand the importance of milestone achievements. Infants are encouraged to explore the world around them through various routines/schedules/activities that are developed and implemented to each individual child needs, while in a safe environment. Program Info and Location At Rosie's we have a large spacious fenced-in backyard with tons of space and outdoors developmental activities. Children are encouraged to play outside, weather permitting, for gross motor development. This is a pet and smoke-free home. We are also a participant in the USDA Food Program and offer nutritious meals to all children enrolled at Rosie's (including mother's breast milk and or formula to the infants). This is a peanut-free environment. Rosie's is open from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. We have a flexible hours schedule and can accommodate children ages 8 weeks to 4/5 years.
