East Gate Playhouse, Chantilly

Welcome to East Gate Playhouse, my licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Chantilly, VA. My child care facility is located in the East Gate neighborhood of South Riding / Chantilly, right off Poland Rd and Tall Cedars Pkwy. Your daily commute to work will be very convenient since I have easy access to all major roads: Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (US-50), Braddock Rd (route 620), and Sully Rd (route 28).

I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 8 years of professional experience. Like you, I’m also a mom, so I can relate to your concerns when it comes to finding the best child care and early childhood education program for your precious little one. I’m a licensed provider with CPR & First-aid certifications, so you can be sure that your child is safe under my care. In addition to my child care credentials, I completed 3 years of nursing school and graduated with an advanced program and I worked as a nurse for 16 years in Vienna, Austria. I'm also fluent in English, German, and Dari (Farsi). My experience and background add value to the children's learning at an early stage which are the crucial years of a child's life. My assistant is a mother of 1 and married to her best friend of 14 years. She has a culinary degree where she graduated with honors. She served 10 years in the United States Airforce until she had her daughter Athena. She is certified in A+ and security+ for IT work. Since separating from the military, she has been a stay-at-home parent. She was homeschooled for 2 years while helping out with a Co-Opt homeschooling program. She loves nature, children, and animals.

Child care is a very challenging and demanding task. However, it is a rewarding and fulfilling job. My passion is love for children, and this made me decide to open my own family child care and early childhood education program. I love working with kids and the idea of contributing to their success. I believe that open communication between the provider and parents is very important for us to satisfy their child care needs. At my daycare, I promise to provide nurturing care and quality early education, and plenty of individualized attention.

My daycare follows the play-based approach to make learning more fun and interesting. I will also introduce the Kumon learning program to my students to help them advance their math skills. This program is a structured, proven self-learning program for home-based education that aims to develop critical thinking, academic ability, and independence. In addition to English, I also teach my students American Sign Language and German. I have a lot of books in German that I read to the kids. I also teach them some German songs and basic words, as well as the alphabet and numbers in German (however, please note that my daycare is not a full language immersion or bilingual program). I have lots of different activities in store for the children throughout the day like arts & crafts and music. I also take them to the community playground twice a day for their outdoor playtime and during summer, we have water activities. Our goal overall is to make sure that children are challenged and are above school level when they enter school.

East Gate Playhouse is open all throughout the year from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all kids attending my program (included in the tuition). Our COVID procedures include cleaning every day with Lysol wipes and spray. Our child care and preschool facility is large and very well-equipped: we have large activity sets, slides, play pens, etc. We also have a separate nap room for infants to ensure they get their much-needed uninterrupted sleep. The space is very warm and inviting and has Montessori stations, as well as hanging artwork and family photos, with great natural lighting and an open layout.
