Welcome to Guilford Cozy Corner, a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Columbia, MD. Our daycare is conveniently located near Guilford Rd in the Village of Kings Contrivance neighborhood. With easy access to Patuxent Fwy (MD-32), Columbia Pike (US-29) and the I-95, we make drop-off and pick-up simple for busy families in Howard County!

Program:

We provide year-round child care Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time daycare for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children up to 12 years old. Children enjoy nutritious, well-balanced meals each day, included in tuition, to support healthy growth and development.

About Me:

I am the owner and primary caregiver at Guilford Cozy Corner, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. With over 13 years of experience in child care, including working as a daycare assistant, I’ve learned that children thrive in environments where they feel safe, comfortable, and supported.

My goal is to help each child build confidence, develop social and emotional skills, and grow at their own pace. I take pride in getting to know every child’s personality and creating a space where they feel valued and encouraged every day.

We focus on the small, meaningful moments throughout the day, from mealtime to playtime to daily transitions, ensuring that each child receives attentive and consistent care.

Our goal is to provide a nurturing daycare environment in Columbia, MD where children can learn and grow at their own pace, and where parents feel confident knowing their child is in safe and dependable hands.

Daily Activities:

Our daily routine is structured yet flexible, built around a play-based preschool curriculum that supports early learning and development.

Each day includes:

• Circle time (weather, date, group interaction)
• Story time, music, and creative activities
• Outdoor play (weather permitting)
• Nap/rest time
• Free play to encourage independence and creativity

We also maintain consistent routines for handwashing and diaper changes to ensure a clean, safe environment.
