About

Children are encouraged to do as much as they can on their own which helps to develop self-esteem and builds self-help skills. They help with meal planning, setting the table for meals and preparing snacks. They are taught how to clean up after themselves and how to care for our classroom, materials, and supplies as well as their personal belongings. Independence is encouraged in all we do. Educational concepts are studied within themes that interest our children. Quality literature is chosen to enhance each theme. Most themes are based on science or social studies topics and may last up to several weeks to allow for depth. Math and technology is embedded in all themes. Some basic sign language and Spanish vocabulary are taught within the daily routine. Our thematic curriculum is used to meet or exceed the Texas Pre-K Guidelines developed by the Texas Education Agency.
