Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership promote the school readiness of children ages birth to 5 from low-income families. In addition to supporting the children’s learning, the program offers support and services for everyone in the family. Services are provided in a variety of settings including centers, family child care, and the children’s own home.
Eligibility is generally based on family income. Children in foster care, homeless, and children from families receiving public assistance are eligible regardless of income.
