Our focus in this class is to master phonics, early reading, fluency in speaking, mathematical concepts and numbers, develop a love for story-time, hand coordination with tracing and motor skill development through multi-sensory activities, creative thinking and general knowledge, independence to work, play, share and express effectively with others. Our prek curriculum continues to focus on developing the amazing personalities within each child, awakening their inner, natural genius. Our focus for the prek age is to continue to master and hone their phonics and reading skills, and building on the foundation for more comprehension and retention of what they are reading and learning. We focus on math concepts and introduce the children to how numbers and math are a huge part of our daily lives and every day activities. We work with the children on their tracing and writing skills, and of course have a strong focus on public speaking, socialization and developing their independence and self-confidence as they prepare to enter formal school soon. Kindergarten is an important time for your child, since it is the entry point of their formal academic life. It is important that your child learns how to socialize with other children, & that the friendships he or she establishes are founded on a positive academic experience. Our Kindergarten programs will expose your child to math, science, spelling, comprehension, reading, writing, public speaking, character building, etiquette & art. Our unique advanced program introduces new concepts in fun and interesting ways. At Genius Kids, we understand the importance of creating fun, stimulating, energetic Spring, Winter and Summer Camps for all ages. Our Summer & Spring Camps are designed to bridge your child from one grade level to the next, reviewing & reinforcing what has been taught in school & preparing them for the following year. They learn study skills & the ability to enjoy learning, whilst having fun at the same time. Your child will be away from the distractions of TV/internet, stay out of trouble, & this will keep them thinking & active. Reading, Writing, Comprehension & Creative Story Writing, Logic & Critical Thinking, Language & Grammar, Brain Building Exercises, Public Speaking & Art/Crafts Educational Science & Famous Literature Movies & Memory Games/Chess Club are just a few of the many activities your child will enjoy during our camps.
