Lacole Taylor Family Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Elkridge, MD. Our family child care program is run by Mrs. Taylor who has 6 years of child care experience as well is a L.P.N (nurse), and ex-Officer of Baltimore City at Copin State University with additional staff with backgrounds as retired registered nurses and active L.P.N (nurse). We are open from 6:00 a.m. until 12 midnight and care for children as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old, including children with special needs. We offer full time care, before and after school care for children up to 12 years old, as well as drop in care. If needed, transportation can be arranged. We provide meals and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment, our children are served all organic food products with their nutritional breakfast, a.m. snacks, lunch meals and p.m. snacks daily. We are a Smoke Free...Drug Free...Pet Free childcare although we are pet friendly and love animals but due to children having many different allergies we remain Pet Free. Just two years ago my fiancee and I enrolled our son TJ age 4 into Mrs.Taylor home daycare. At first sight both my fiancee and I and our son instantly felt at home and he instantly made new friends. We had trouble getting him to speak and recognize his letters and nubers, but with the help of Ms.Taylor and her staff he comes home and is breaking down math better than I can, can beat me to the punch in sentences of a book. I just absolutely love this childcare and their provider Ms.Taylor. When my son Antonio went to any other childcare, providers told me he did not like to play, he was very quiet and upset some days. Once I found out about Step By Step, had an interview with Ms.T, and enrolled my little boy, I could tell he felted loved, and not to mention he opened up way more. Enrolling my babies to this child care was the best decision for them and well as for me. I've never had any issues or ever worry about them. My babies are young, and wouldn't willingly go to just anyone. I can tell they love it there, because my 3 yr old gets super excited when pulling up onto their driveway and 1 yr old is kicking off from me and greeting 'Auntie Taylor' with a big ol' smile. Amazing daycare experience. Lacole has been caring for my son for almost a year and I can't express how pleased I am with his development since enrolling him in care with Lacole. He'said counting, knows his colors, ABC'S, shapes, etc and he's only two. She llalso plans field trips for the kids which is also nice. It's also very difficult to find any daycare that's available to watch your child after 6pm but she does!

We are so happy to have found such a wonderful and caring daycare for our daughter. Mrs. Taylor loves the kids and is always working to help them. There are scheduled activities along with class work so I feel that Tori gets a well rounded experience.
