Welcome to Brightfield Farms Daycare our licensed family child care and preschool program in Ellicott City, MD. Our daycare is in the Brightfield Farms neighborhood, right off Old Montgomery Rd and Meadowridge Rd / Montgomery Rd. I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I have 16 years of professional experience. I’m also a mom of 2, so I also have first-hand experience with my own kids. We are a family-owned and family operated small child care facility. I understand your concerns and challenges when it comes to finding the best daycare for your child but if you choose us, we’ll make sure that your little one receives quality care as well as plenty of individualized attention. Here at Brightfield Farms Daycare, we prioritize the safety of our young students so I’m CPR and First-aid certified. I run the daycare with my 3 assistants who have 23 years of combined experience.

Our home-based daycare and preschool follows the Play-based learning approach with many fun activities such as cooking, painting, music. Our goal is to make sure that our little students are prepared when they enter school so we also learn shapes, colors, and letters. Learning social skills and manners is also an important component of our program. We work on showing kindness, respect, and sharing with classmates. My students complete daily activity sheets that revolve around different lessons and themes. My facility is full of learning materials and educational toys, such as activity sets, kitchen sets, doll houses, blocks and puzzles. There's also a circle time center with books and learning worksheets. I have a well-furnished space with wall decor, educational charts and posters.

We offer full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Kids attending full-time are provided with lunch and snacks, which are both included in the tuition. For school-age kids up to 12 years old, we can accommodate before and after school care (we're close to Waterloo Elementary School, Bellows Spring Elementary School, and Rockburn Elementary School). When children leave for the day, we wipe down and sanitize the entire space to prevent any type of disease caused by germs and viruses. We also wash our hands in between snacks, naps, and diaper changes. Brightfield Farms Daycare is open throughout the year from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We can also can also provide after-hours daycare until 12 midnight and accommodate weekend child care on Saturday and Sunday (please call or email to ask about additional tuition for night care and weekend care.)
