Teachers: Shirley Howe ( B.A. French and linguistics, University of London, UK; PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in education) University of York, UK; 15 years teaching experience mostly in the UK but also at preschool level here in Fairfax. ESL certificate Arizona State University; Diploma in Spanish language level c1 from the Universitat d'Alacant, Spain. Ediangy Martin ([redacted] in Nursing from the Universidad de Luz, Sulia, Venezuela) Native Spanish speaker and baby whisperer! We are two outgoing personalities who enjoy working with young children to give them a holistic development experience. Our curriculum is immersion based: Spanish three days per week and English two days per week. We use puppets, songs, sensory activities and toys as well as outdoor play. We use the Sonrisas curriculum with preschool and elementary children.
