Welcome to Greenbriar Cozy Corner, my bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool program in Fairfax, VA 😊 My licensed home-based child care program is located in the Greenbriar neighborhood, just off Rocky Run Trail.

My daycare in Fairfax is especially convenient for busy families. We have easy access to Stringfellow Rd (SR 645), Fair Lakes Pkwy / Fair Lakes Blvd, Lee Jackson Memorial Highway (US-50), Fairfax County Pkwy (SR 286), the I-66, and Greenbriar West Elementary School.

Program:

My daycare is open year-round from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time child care for infants as young as 6 months, as well as toddlers and preschool-age children up to 4 years old.

Lunch and snacks are included in tuition and provided for all children in my program. To help reduce the risk of allergies, I maintain a peanut-free and tree-nut-free environment.

I also work hard to keep my daycare clean and healthy for all children in my care. I clean every day by vacuuming and mopping the floors, and I wash toys at the end of each day. We wash our hands regularly after diaper changes, before and after meals and snacks, and after naps. Families in my program are also very cooperative about keeping children home when they are sick, which helps support a healthier environment for everyone.

About Me:

I’m the owner and main caregiver of Greenbriar Cozy Corner, and I bring over 19 years of experience in child care and early childhood education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics, and I take great pride in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for every child in my care. I am energetic, passionate about early learning, and I build strong relationships with children.

As a mother of two, I understand how important it is to find the right second home for your child. I know how much trust families place in their caregiver, and I work every day to provide the kind of safe, supportive environment that gives parents peace of mind. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Training (MAT), and I continuously strive to maintain high standards of care.

Curriculum:

Greenbriar Cozy Corner is a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Fairfax, VA. In addition to English, I introduce children to the Spanish language, including poems in Spanish, giving little ones a wonderful opportunity to build bilingual skills at an early age.

I use the Creative Curriculum to engage children in fun, hands-on learning activities and art projects. For example, children learn the difference between what is in the sky and what is on the ground, then create a craft painted blue for the sky and green for the ground. Every May, we also make a special Mother’s Day project using different materials, such as pipe cleaners.

I strive to create a warm, organized environment where children can learn and grow. My daycare has learning materials neatly stored in containers and on shelves, along with wall decor, a posted learning curriculum, bright carpets, and plenty of natural sunlight. I provide larger activity sets for toddlers and sensory toys for infants.

Children also enjoy outdoor play in my private, fenced backyard playground. 🌞 We spend time outside using the sensory table and playing on the slides while listening to children’s music.
