About Me:
I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 6 years of child care and early childhood education experience. I’m a professional caregiver with a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Physics and CPR & First-aid certifications. I'm a very energetic and passionate child care provider with great rapport with children.
Like you, I’m also a parent, a mom to 2 children, so I can certainly understand your needs and concerns when it comes to finding the best “second home" for your child. I only accept a maximum of 4 children, so each child in my care receives plenty of individualized attention.
Curriculum:
Greenbriar Kiddie House is a bilingual Spanish program. In addition to English, I teach the kids the Spanish language (I teach them poems in Spanish), which is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to become bilingual at a young age. I also have a private backyard playground where we spend our outdoor playtime.
I'm using the Creative Curriculum to engage my little students in different interesting art projects. For instance, kids are learning the difference between what's in the sky and what's on the ground, and they will explore the outdoors and create a craft painted blue for the sky and green for the ground. We're also doing a Mother's Day project every May using different materials like pipe cleaners.
I always strive to create a warm environment where children can learn and grow. I maintain the cleanliness of my daycare and make sure everything is organized (all toys, blocks, and art materials are in containers and shelved). I have great wall decor and a learning curriculum posted, as well as bright carpets and natural sunlight. There are larger activity sets for toddlers and sensory stimulation toys for infants. Kids always enjoy playing outside in my private playground with a sensory table and slides with speakers playing children's music.
Program:
My daycare is open all year-round from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 4 years old. Lunch and snacks are included in the tuition and provided to all kids attending my program. To prevent any possible allergies, I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment.
To prevent the kids from getting sick, I clean every day (i.e. vacuuming and mopping the floors) and wash the toys at the end of every day. We wash our hands regularly, after diaper changes, snacks, lunch, and after a nap. All parents enrolled in my program want my space clear of any illness and are very cooperative with keeping their children home if they are sick.
