South Cherry Playhouse, Falls Church

South Cherry Playhouse is an intimate home-based daycare and preschool in Falls Church, VA. I’m located in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood, near South Cherry Plaza. I'm right off Annandale Rd (route 649) and Arlington Blvd (US-50). My home is very accessible to daily commuters since I’m just 5 minutes’ away from Sleepy Hollow Rd (route 613), Leesburg Pike/E Broad St (route 7), and Hillwood Ave.

As an experienced child care provider who worked in different licensed daycare facilities for over a decade, I can assure you that your precious little one is safe under my care. I’m CPR & First-aid certified and like you, I’m also a parent and I know how difficult it is, especially for first-time parents, to leave your child to someone you barely know. My goal is to help families in my area by providing affordable, quality child care and early education. I want parents to have peace of mind while they are away working. I strive to create a safe environment where everyone feels loved, and I want to work with parents in meeting the needs of their children.

My program consists of educational activities like learning shapes, letters, and numbers, and I also teach kids how to write. For infants, I read books to them and we practice tummy time. My daycare has bright and colorful walls with educational charts and posters making it more inviting for kids. In addition to English, I speak Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi fluently and upon request, I can teach your child these foreign languages. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to become bilingual at a young age. However, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program.

South Cherry Playhouse is a Play-based early learning program. I’m open throughout the year from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. Please note that full-time tuition covers 10 hours of care a day and if you need extended hours, that can be provided for an additional fee. I can also offer weekend care on Saturday and Sunday (please email to ask about the rate for extended hours and weekend care). I provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I have experience with children with special needs (specifically ADHD and Autism). For older kids, I offer before and after school care (my home is close to Westlawn Elementary School, Sleepy Hollow Elementary School and Bailey’s Upper Elementary School).
