Young Days (Home Based) Childcare Center (license #251255) located in Dearbought off of Route 26 in Frederick now has part time and full time openings for ages 24 months and up. Open Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer a structured preschool curriculum provided to us by The Creative Curriculum® for Family Child Care. The Creative Curriculum® for Family Child Care is the only research-based, comprehensive curriculum that addresses the unique strengths and challenges of family child care. It is also one of only two programs that are approved across the board by the Maryland State Department of Education. Through play and engaging activities, children will learn about phonetics, reading, science, history and math. Children will also enjoy arts and crafts and musical fun. The program is lead by provider, Nita Young, who is a mother of four from ages 17 to 11 months. She is a graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications and is the creator of "Music for Virginia Babies," a program designed to help brain development in newborns and toddlers through classical music. Based on "The Mozart Effect" by Don Campbell, research has shown that children perform at higher levels in math and science due to this stimulation. Young Days will provide breakfast and two snacks to the children. The center is a home-based center with areas for play, learning, crafts and educational movie time.
