Dufief Kiddie Cove is a licensed family child care and preschool program in North Potomac, MD. My home is located in the Dufief neighborhood, near Dufief Elementary School and Dufief Local Park. Your daily commute will be very convenient since I have easy access to Dufief Mill Rd and Travilah Rd, and I’m only 3 minutes’ drive away from Darnestown Rd (route 28).
About Me:
Working with children is such a fulfilling job as you get to see them grow and flourish right before your eyes. My genuine passion and love for them inspired me to open my own daycare facility. Prior to that, I worked for another licensed child care center for 7 years where I gained a lot of experience and knowledge in early education.
In addition to my child care credentials, I’m a mom like you, so I understand your struggles when it comes to finding the right daycare for your little one. I also have a Master's Degree in Developmental Studies and CPR & First-aid certifications.
Curriculum:
Dufief Kiddie Cove uses an academic type of curriculum where I teach basic reading and writing, appropriate for the child's age. I speak French, in addition to English, and I can expose your child to this foreign language upon your request (without an additional fee!) Although my daycare is not a fully bilingual program, this is a good opportunity for your little one to learn this beautiful language.
My home has a private fenced backyard that is ready to be converted to a playground (with play equipment already available). I'm also within 5 minutes’ walk from the community playground where I can take kids for playtime if weather permits.
Program:
I’m open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm all year-round, from Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for newborn babies, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. I serve lunch and snacks to kids ages 2 years and older attending my program, which are included in the tuition. I also maintain a peanut and tree-nut free environment to avoid possible allergies.

My daughter has been going to this daycare for nearly a year now and has loved Mrs. M. from the start. She is a loving and patient caregiver and it truly feels like I'm dropping my child over to a family members house. You can tell she genuinely loves each of her children as if they're her own blood.

She is a great caregiver. When our son first started going to her, he refused bottles and cried for nearly two weeks. She is a wonderful, caring and loving child care taker. She combines those attributes with a very fun and entertaining educational program. Her experience is second to none. My child loves her, and so do I and my wife. I could not think more highly of her.

This provider cared for both of our sons. One from 2- 4 years of age and one from 2 months to 2 years old. She is an attentive and caring caregiver our boys were always happy to see. She paid attention to the needs of each child and updated us daily on progress or concerns. I highly recommend her for the care of your young child.

This provider was our daughter's teacher when she was 2 years old. We really loved having her as our daughter's teacher. She has many years of teaching experience with toddlers and we learned as much from her as our daughter did.
